Is There Sex In Heaven?
Iceyyy (IceTea-Girl) made a youtube video Her topic was Sex in Paradise. The theme of her video was to say that heaven in Christianity is spiritual whereas Muslims have a perverted heaven where fornication & adultry takes place
She Quotes a commentary by Ibn Kathir on an ayah in the Quran, Surah 55
Response
There are other interpretations of heaven. For instance Ibn Kathir also reports on Surah 36:55-57. When The Quran says "will be busy with joyful things" Some commentators comment and say this is refering to people in heaven being "busy in deflowering virgins", However Ibn Abasass says that this is refering to "listening to stringed instruments’’ He Mentions nothing about sex. Also Mujahid said, "Their spouses,(will be in pleasant shade) means, in the shade of trees
The term virign does not always refer to & sexual things. In arabic culture Virgins often refer to things that are unpolluted, pure and untouched. In Arabic culture a virgin is something to be desired. So the use of language stems from this. Arabic metaphors may not be easily understood by outsiders but most honest Arabs would understand this
But In Fairness most islamic interpretations & scholors accept that muslims will have sex in heaven. If we go to heaven (inshAllah/godwilling) these houris will be our wives. But this will be on a different level of existence, different reality, different concepts of space, time, matter with no bad effects. These houris will be our Wives, so there is no adultry in Heaven, I can prove this from the Quran, Notice the word i highligh in red
Quran 43:70
ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ
Odkhuloo aljannata antum waazwajukum tuhbaroona
Quran 43:70 English: Enter the Garden, ye and your spouse, to be made glad
This word Azwaaj means spouses, so these houris will be our spouses. So if a man has sex with his spouse that is not adultery or fornication. And if that is acceptable and promoted by God to have sex with your spouses on earth, (in the bible in sex and procreation is encouraged Genesis Chapter 1:28) why not in heaven? Are Christians more holy and pure than their own GOD? Having more than one spouse is not evil, infact Ahbrham did have more than one wife, so in heaven which wife will he be with? the answer is all of them Heaven In Islam Is Spiritual
Heaven in Islam is spiritual aswell as physical
They will say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has removed all sadness from us. Truly our Lord is Ever-Forgiving, Ever-Thankful: He Who has lodged us, out of His favor, in the Abode of Permanence, where no weariness or fatigue affects us." (Surah 35, 34-35)
The Qur'an tells us about some muslim believers who have an exalted position in Paradise. This gives an idea of what Heaven will be like "They will hear no idle talk in it, nor any call to sin. All that is said is: 'Peace! Peace!''' (Surah 56, 25-26)
They will hear no idle talk nor any lying there, as a recompensation from your Lord, a commensurate gift. (Surah 78, 35-36)
You can see Islam in paradise is spiritual also. Paradise in Islam is greater than in Christianity because Heaven in Islam is physical and Spiritual, becasue human beings need both, Christians claim there heaven is spiritual only.
Sex In The Christian Heaven
MATHEW 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom
GENESIS 6:2-4 The sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. ... The sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown
Jude 6:7 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation ... giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh
Jewish Talmud
"Garden on Eden has two gates of ruby, by which stand sixty varieties of pure servants. The luster of the face of each of them glistens like the splendor of the firmament. When a righteous man arrives, they remove his clothes in which he had been buried, and clothe him in white robes of the clouds of glory." (Yalkut Shimoni, Bereshit 20)[Talmud]
